List of popular local tv programmes in Nigeria : The 80's and eraly 90's era
Television programmes during the aforementioned era acted as an alternative Entertainment platform to the barrage of foreign movies that were eagerly watched by Nigerians. Indian films, Chinese (parading the star, Bruce lee), British (James Bond) thrived and were viewed courtesy of the VHS formatted copies played on VCRs. TV productions ranging from soap operas, drama, to comedy, crime, unapologetically rocked out screens. However, some stood out above other productions and the under listed programmes are bound to invoke a nostalgic feeling of the good old days (if you grew up during the aforesaid epoch) :

Nigerians who could afford to purchase VCRs back in the days had the opportunity of watching foreign flicks.
